The cute Magnolia Tilda and Edwin 'hear no evil, see no evil, speak no evil' collection where designed for Pink Ribbon the Dutch cancer awareness foundation Money goes to Pink Ribbon for research, so they don't only look cute but you also support a great 'charity'... so what are you waiting for! ;) Have a lovely evening, Corianne
Just a little update this time... look what finally arrived today, it's Tone Finnangers new book 'Homemade and happy' but then the Norweign version 'Hjemmelaget og lykkelig' I'm sooo happy right, feeling like a kid on Christmas day! ;) Have lovely evening. Corianne
Last Halloween, I prepared a kid-friendly, traditional orange/black Halloween Treats Table. This year, I wanted to work off a more modern, grown up color palette. I chose black, white and silver as my color combo, and began gathering pretty treats for this year’s Halloween display. I am quite happy with how it came together, and love the elegant, not-too-creepy look.
While decorating the cookies, I made a few royal icing spider webs to add to the cupcakes. To make royal icing decorations such as these, simply pipe your desired design (using thick royal icing) onto parchment paper, and allow to fully dry. Royal icing transfers are very delicate, so be sure to make more than you’ll need. I have a post on making royal icing snowflakes that may be helpful as well.
Each of the cookies designs I made were quite simple, but I mixed several different designs on the table to create interest. Striped bags (from Sweet Estelle’s Baking Supply) made perfect favor bags.
I added both real and artificial pumpkins to the table, as well as a few glittery spiders. All of the cake stands and jars are from my (ever expanding) personal collection. If you’re curious where I buy my stands, I have a whole post about my cake stand collection. When shopping for glassware I almost always buy white, or clear, with the occasional solid color. I steer clear of Holiday specific pieces, so I can use my stands and dishes for a variety of year-round themes.
I would like to show you this blog message by Glory and her amazing Black &White Halloween table.... now Halloween is suppose to be scary, but this is just so sweet that it can't be scary anymore ;) Please visit her blog for more lovely ideas... x Corianne
(different kind of flour and 'amandelspijs' almond paste)
Today I would like to show you guys the lovely 'Heel Holland Bakt' baking utensils that you can buy at Albert Heijn or Bol.com I am so in love with my new baking utensils and the different kind of flours!
I had 'Duck Egg' baking utensils on my wishing list for sooooo long and now I have them and I'm soooo happy with them ;)
What more can I say.... just look at the pictures and enjoy :)
The days we photograph books are the busiest of the year, and there is not much time to take behind the scenes footage. However, we would like to share the few that wee managed to take during the Homemade & Happy photoshoot.
There is a lot of waiting for Tiril and a good book is necessary. Luckily the other model Totto has the ability to sleep for twenty hours a day.
Sølvi is captured while showing Tiril how to stand in the door for the Welcome picture.
The portrait of Totto is taken by Tiril (fake fur of course).
Ingrid is holding the reflector, trying to reflect daylight into the darker arias of the motif, and Tone is setting up the layout and adding pictures as we work.
This time we take a look behind the scenes of the new Tilda book 'Homemade & Happy'
Tone Finnanger showed us these photos on her own blog, I just love the photos of her little sister and Totto ;)
And just look at Totto all snuggled up... so cute!!
Now the Norweign version of the book should come out this month, but, I guess that's not going to happen... hahaha It's the 29th already... ok September has 30 days, but I don't see it happening anytime soon :/
You what puzzeling me? How can somebody already have the book (I saw another Tilda fan I know with the book and showed us pages from the book) and it's not even for sale yet!?!? Strange!
Have you seen the new products from 'Heel Holland Bakt' (the Dutch TV show version of 'The Great British Bake Off') at Albert Heijn!? Ohhhh my goodness... I'm loving it, all the pretty baking supplies, different flours, bakeware and much more! And it's all in my favorite color duck egg blue (pictures will follow soon!) Today I baked the well known Dutch 'Gevulde Koeken' (Almond paste filled cookies) for the very first time, using 'Zeeuwse Bloem' and the 'Amandelspijs' (Almond paste) from the 'Heel Holland Bakt' series... and I've got to say it works fantastic! I took a picture of the recipe if you like to bake them yourself They are a little bit of work but also fun to make with my new baking supplies... and tasty, hihihi ;)
My first creation from Tone Finnangers new collection 'Happiness is homemade' is the 'Homemade Angel' but not made with the "new" doll pattern, because (like many Tilda fans) I don't like the pattern I really hope Tone changes her mind and for her next collection use the normal patterns again Anyways, back to the 'Homemade Angel'... like I said, I used a normal pattern and now she fits right in with her Tilda sisters The fabrics are fantastic (like always!) and with the buttons, yarn and scissors she is a great help when I'm sitting behind my sewing machine ;)
Now it's waiting for the new book to arrive, I can't hardly wait... I want to see what other creations I can make and get some inspiration to get the creative juices flowing :)
I love to hear your opinion about the new Tilda doll pattern, do you like the pattern or would you like the normal pattern better!?
Let me know and leave your opinion in a comment right here under this message
Just a few more weeks before the new book 'Happiness is Homemade' by Tone Finnanger will be released (first up is the Norweign version) Lets have a little sneak preview of what we can expect and look forward to (see second pictures) Are you getting excited yet!? Right now we can already buy the beautiful fabrics from the new series... and beautiful they are!
May I present to you the new Magnolia Tilda Pink Lemonade collection We are still waiting for the World Wide Web collection, but Magnolia decided to bring out this collection first I already have my favorites.... how about you!? Have a lovely day, Corianne
